Blimpie Subs & Salads Franchise Reviews
Blimpie, the widely recognized restaurant for submarine sandwiches and salads, initially was a idea of just three American teenagers. Tony Conza met with his two other friends in Jersey City, N.J., and in their high school days altogether they thought many ways to start a business. After doing some smaller ones, they heard about the sandwiches called ‘submariens’ and got a big interest in it. Anthony Conza borrowed $2,500 and with the help of his two friends he started the first Blimpie Subs & Salads location in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1964. The effort of three friends has now grew into an international restaurant chain of a variety of subs, salads, wraps, and soups. The company has started franchising in 1970, and currently has more than 900 franchised locations which can be found in convenience stores, malls, shopping centers, etc, throughout the world.
