Dr. Yang was trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture and Western Medicine for five years at Yunnan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and three years at Hunan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Dr. Yang trained a total of eight years to earn his medical degree.
He practiced as a medical doctor in major hospitals in China for 16 years since 1986 where he was a physician of integrative medicine combining Western medicine with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine on research and practice in Internal Medicine and Gerontology. He has over 28 years of experience on clinical teaching and research on acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Yang completed many research projects that focused on acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine for pain, mental disorders, cardiovascular disorders, insomnia, diabetes, stroke rehabilitation, and reducing the side effects of Western Medications. He also co-authored 8 books in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and published over 10 research articles on acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.
He has been actively teaching acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States since 2001. He was an instructor, supervisor, and clinic director at Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando. Currently, Dr. Yang also teaches at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville.
His clinical experience includes internal medicine, pain management, neurological and psychological/emotional disorders, cardiovascular disorders, including musculoskeletal disorders. These include chronic pain, Bell’s palsy, facial spasms, stroke rehabilitation, peripheral neuropathy, tremors, restless leg syndrome; emotional disorders resulting from stress, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, hypothyroidism, arrhythmia including atrial fibrillation/sick sinus syndrome, PMS, menopause, endometriosis, women/men problems, allergies, sinusitis, skin rashes, eczema and acne.
